Carmakal Tree Nursery

Mast Trees in Loxahatchee and Wellington. Also known as Carmakal Botanicals.

For Developers Who Know That Curb Appeal Isn't Optional.

The fastest way to signal a finished community is to plant trees that already look settled.

Buyers read maturity. A landscape installed as an afterthought does not photograph like one that was specified at scale. A 7-gallon plant cannot do that job. A row of large Monoon longifolium along a boulevard or entry can.

USDA Forest Service research has put the property-value effect of mature trees in a range of about 7–19 percent, depending on placement and species. The National Arbor Day Foundation has described a single mature specimen as accounting for as much as 15 percent of a residential property's value. Those figures are industry research, not a promise about a particular community.

Where the tree is specified

  • Community entries — one row or two, at the gate and along the main drive.
  • Perimeter screens — visual and acoustic separation from a road or a neighbor.
  • Driveway pairs that frame an arrival without needing a wide canopy.
  • Windbreaks inside coastal communities.
  • Model-home plantings for photography.
  • Golf-community features at turns and arrivals.

The specification case against Italian Cypress in zones 10–11 is practical: the Mast Tree is the tall, narrow, evergreen column that does not bring the canker and replacement cycle.

Pricing context from the nursery copy

The largest specimen Mast Trees are priced with their size and the years they took to grow. The nursery's own copy places significant specimens above $15,000. There is no cart, no published price list, and no checkout. Project quantities, sizes, and timing are discussed directly.

The nursery covers 16 acres of Mast Trees and many other species used in South Florida, including fruit trees. We are glad to assemble a complete package for a developer and coordinate it with the landscape architect. Service runs from delivery through installation. In-ground trees tend to be fuller than potted trees, and they cost more because of extraction and shipping preparation.

What happens when you call

  • Tell us the site, the count, the target size, and the installation window.
  • We match that to trees we can actually show you — dimensions and photographs of those trees.
  • Large orders can include a site look at spacing, soil, and fit.
  • We deliver and install, and we coordinate the work with your landscape architect.
  • You leave with establishment guidance for the first season.

We don't sell online. Every tree that leaves the nursery should be one you have discussed.
